High Road Leadership: Bringing People Together in a World That Divides

In his new book, “High Road Leadership: Bringing People Together in a World That Divides,” Dr. John C. Maxwell tackles the problem of a divided world where leadership can be either a blessing or a curse.  Division can affect both the leader and the people they are leading. This webinar is hosted by the Kentucky City/County Management Association, and an invitation has been extended to OCMA members.

Participants will delve into key insights from this incredible book, in which Dr. Maxwell takes us on the journey to become a High-Road Leader—the kind of leader who is willing to be accountable for actions, value and care for people, and do things for the right reason.

 

John tells us that there are three kinds of leadership: low-road, middle-road, and high-road. If you want to be the most effective and have the most impact on the people you work with and those around you in all areas of your life, you need to take the high road.

 

The low-road leader only thinks of themselves.  The middle-road leader is a person who values fairness.  The high-road leader puts others first.
