Join us for an engaging training session, co-hosted by the Ohio City/County Management Association and the Ohio Public Labor Relations Association (OHPELRA)! The 3-hour session, organized as a pre-conference session at the 2025 OCMA Annual Conference, is available to all OHPELRA members for $15.00.

During the first part of the program, Fostering Positive Union Relationships, Andrew Esposito, Esq. will provide actionable insights and fundamentals on how to build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives. Key strategies will include effective communication techniques, conflict resolution methods, and collaborative problem-solving approaches. Participants will learn best practices for negotiating agreements and fostering an environment of mutual respect and trust.

Following this, Michael Esposito, Esq., will lead a workshop on Contract and Grievance Arbitration, building on the foundations laid in the first part of the training. This program will delve into advanced strategies for contract and grievance arbitration. Participants will explore complex bargaining issues and learn sophisticated techniques to navigate these challenges. The session will provide practical tools and methodologies to effectively manage disputes and ensure fair and balanced outcomes.

Light refreshments will be served. Attendees are invited to stay for the general session at the OCMA Conference, beginning at 4:00 PM. This session, “Culture is an Inside Job” will be led by Scott McGohan, Author and Co-Founder of One Morning.
